Jenna Shamoon is an independent curator and emerging visual artist. Her art draws inspiration from a variety of sources, ranging from music to cinema. Shamoon intentionally works in a minimalist style in order to challenge herself. The trademark of her work is the use of vibrant colour as well as bold, clean lines. She’s provoked by the question: How much can be done with the aesthetic minimum?

Shamoon received a BA in Art History and English from McMaster University and an MA in Art History from York University. She has curated exhibitions at Hamilton Artists Inc. and York University. She was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario.
